About me
Joe Hayward is the Program Director for IBM TS7700, bringing more than two decades of deep technical and leadership experience across IBM’s storage portfolio. Joe began his IBM career in 1999 as a Level 2 support engineer, where he developed a strong technical foundation and a customer-focused approach to problem solving.
Over the years, Joe has served in a variety of roles spanning Storage Area Network interoperability testing, the Executive Briefing Centers, and subject-matter expertise in tape technologies, storage networking, and storage virtualization. His ability to translate complex technologies into clear value for clients earned him recognition as a trusted SME across the organization.
Joe transitioned into leadership in 2012, taking on his first management role and subsequently leading teams in both test and development. In March 2022, he assumed his current position as Program Director for the TS7700, where he is responsible for guiding strategy, product direction, and execution for one of IBM’s flagship enterprise storage solutions.
