An experienced IBM i specialist with over three decades on the platform, spanning AS/400, iSeries, and modern IBM i environments. Originally retrained by IBM into programming, Chris quickly became involved in pioneering high availability and replication solutions, working closely with IBM and international partners to deliver early journal-based data replication technologies.
He went on to found Shield Software Services, building a portfolio of IBM i solutions focused on high availability, disaster recovery, security, and job management. With deep technical expertise in system architecture, journaling, and application integration, Chris has led the development of products such as HA4i, JT4i, EM4i and AAG.
Expanding beyond traditional IBM i tooling, he has also driven the development of Linux-based IBM i monitoring through AAG, enabling scalable, enterprise-wide visibility across IBM Power environments. His work continues to focus on simplifying complex IBM i environments while maximizing resilience, security, and operational efficiency.
